Many photography self portraits that i have seen use a film noir style in their photography while some are full of colour, I found out that I like the look of grey scale self portraits because of the way it highlights the shadows in the image that causes an interesting effect. Two of the images use silver gelatine print format while one isa painting that has been edited and the other two are a digital photograph that has been desaturated. The context of the photo can have a very wide range since a photo is worth a thousand words more or less so the viewer can take a very different meaning from a photo then the one that was intended.
